Mr. R. Chander is a Nominee Director (representative of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC)) of CCIL since October 7, 2025.

Mr. R. Chander is the Executive Director (Investment – Front Office) & Chief Investment Officer of LIC. He has nearly 34 years of experience with LIC. He joined LIC as an Assistant Administrative Officer in 1990. During the last thirty-four years, he has experience of working as Senior Divisional Manager of Nagpur and Hyderabad divisions. He has also worked as Regional Manager (Marketing), South Zone and as Regional Manager (Pension & Group Schemes), South Central Zone. Later, he was posted as Executive Director in Strategic Business Unit – International Operations and currently, acts as Executive Director (Investment – Front Office) & Chief Investment Officer of LIC.

He holds Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India.
