Job Description of : Technical Architect - AI

Job Title : Assistant Vice President

Department : Information Technology

Reports To : Vice President - IT

Experience : 10 to 16 years

Preferred Qualification : BE/ B Tech/ MCA

Required Qualification : BE/ B Tech/ MCA

Skill, Knowledge & Trainings :
1) Hands-on expertise in designing and building highly distributed systems, microservices architectures, event-driven systems, and scalable APIs.
2) Knowledge in architecting on cloud platforms utilizing modern infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform and container orchestration via Kubernetes.
3) Hands-on experience in AI Platform engineering, distributed systems, or AI(GPU) infrastructure set up on Premises and on Sovereign Cloud.I12:I13

Core Competencies :

1) Strong technical design and architecture credentials on on-premise and Cloud Infra (VPC design, IAM, KMS, networking, cost governance) with the ability to design cloud-native systems that remain portable to on-premise Linux (RHEL) environments — container-first, no hard dependency on managed services.
2) Hands-on software engineering and clean coding mindset
3) Hands-on with containerisation and orchestration (Docker/Podman, Compose, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
4) Practical depth in modern AI systems — LLM application architecture, RAG, agentic orchestration, model gateways, prompt and context engineering, evaluation and guardrail frameworks.
5) Working knowledge of classical ML for anomaly detection, forecasting and pattern recognition (e.g. isolation forests, gradient boosting, time-series methods).
6) Hands-on coding ability in Python (FastAPI or equivalent) and comfort with modern web front-ends (React/TypeScript).
7) Expertise AI and Agentic AI frameworks and orchestration tools like PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, Hugging Face and Agentic AI platforms.
8) Data architecture: relational and time-series stores (PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB), streaming and event pipelines (Kafka), analytical stores, graph and vector databases.
9)	Demonstrated use of AI-assisted and spec-driven development workflows in real delivery — not experimentation.
10) Experience architecting in a regulated environment with security, audit and data residency constraints.
11)	Experience on designing Data Schemas and handling application with structured and unstructured data
12) Strong communication skills and ability to demonstrate to Senior leadership

Functional Competencies :

Financial Market

Job Purpose :

1) The successful candidate would join the IT Department of a critical Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) organization which serves as a Qualified Central Counterparty (QCCP) for Government Securities, Money Market, FX and Derivatives transactions in the Indian financial markets.
2) We are establishing a dedicated Innovation Lab to identify, research and prototype the next generation of capabilities for Indian financial markets. The Lab operates as a fast-moving unit with a distinct mandate: take an idea from problem statement to a validated proof of concept and an approved business case.
3) Successful candidate will be the technical anchor of the Innovation Lab. You will be responsible to design and define reference architectures, the spec-driven operating model, the evaluation and stage-gate criteria to take a concept to production

Area of Operations :

End-to-end technical solutioning and architecture of cloud and on-premise setup, secure sandbox, tooling, AI stack and data models of CCIL Innovation Lab

Key Responsibility :

1) Own the end-to-end technical solutioning and architecture of cloud and on-premise setup, secure sandbox, tooling, AI stack and data models of CCIL Innovation Lab.
2) Drive recommendations on technology and system design decisions to project and business teams
3) Establish a zoned development environment model (segregated build, review and controlled-data zones) with one-way promotion controls.
4) Set the architectural direction for the Lab's AI and Technology stack — model gateway, guardrails, retrieval architecture, agent orchestration, evaluation harnesses.
5) Architect proofs of concept across clearing, settlement, risk, surveillance, market data and regulatory reporting domains.
6) Own the technical section of every business case that goes to management: feasibility, build-vs-buy, indicative cost, integration impact, risk and control considerations.
7) Define and institutionalise the spec-driven development methodology: specification templates, review gates, traceability from problem statement to spec to prototype to evaluation evidence.
8) Conduct Architecture, design and code review for technology projects at CCIL.

Any Other Requirement :

1) Should be a team player and mentor to the junior team members.
2) Would be required to work with multiple projects / teams concurrently
